I am not a doctor and am not able to dispense medical advice. My husband saw a doctor (many of them) and they were able to do things for him that I could not. However, they were unable to recommend alternative treatments, and in MY OPINION they were VERY beneficial to my husband, so I am providing some of that information here. My husband and I tried all of these alternative therapies at our own risk, and if you try them you will be doing the same. At your own risk. No promises are made in this blog. I am not saying there is a cure for cirrhosis or any other condition. However, I believe most people can get well, like my husband did. My husband is alive, happy, productive, functional and has his energy back. He no longer worries about having to go on disability or getting a $577,000 liver transplant. Cirrhosis is a serious condition. He is currently in the fibrosis stage (Stage 2 liver disease), which is still serious. I cannot guarantee you will have the same results. I just want you to know about what worked well for my husband. I hope you will share what you learned with others, and share your story with us as well. This blog was made for YOU! Help for Anxiety and Atrial Fibrillation - Magnesium Taurate

I've spoken to a lot of people who have anxiety AND atrial fibrillation, and want to share this tip I just learned from a gal who called me from Texas, whom I will call Kyra. She told me that this stuff is REALLY good for A-Fib.

Thank you Kyra, I am going to share this tip with my husband! So far he has been doing well with CoEnzyme Q10 for  his A-fib, but maybe this would be even more helpful.

I'm pasting the reviews that came up on just the first page... and there are many, many more than what you will see below.

I began taking this product 3 weeks ago for Panic Attacks and Anxiety. After YEARS on various Prescription drugs I recently heard about the effects of Magnesium Taurate on Panic/Anxiety. So far I have cut back to half the dose of Zoloft (which I've taken for the past 4 years) and 75% LESS Clonazepam! Hoping to be prescription Rx free very soon! I'm extremely happy with this product and would suggest it highly.

I bought the 500mg magnesium taurate supplement (from amazon.com partners vitaminshoppe.com) and I am very pleased with the results. There are 180 pills and I am taking 1 a day (though you can take up to 2). I noticed a lessening in the frequency of PVCs within 48 hours and by the 5th day they had all but disappeared from counts in the 1000s.

I had finally gone to see a cardiologist and was told that I would be using a 30 day event monitor about a week before starting magnesium taurate. I mentioned this supplement to him and he asked me why I thought that this supplement was safer than FDA-approved prescription drugs. He said he might want to put me on medication to lower my HR (which was 109 in his office). I told him that the omeprazole I was on (for GERD) was making my HR faster (and nerves!) but he prescribed the 30 day event monitor (I had already worn the 24 hour Holter 4 years prior and was told 2 months ago - that's how rarely I go to the doctor - that I was diagnosed with PVCs hence my need to finally see a cardiologist).

So, I started taking magnesium taurate the day after strapping on the 30 day event monitor. Day 1 my baseline resting HR was 105. Yesterday, after 2 weeks on magnesium taurate my resting HR was 72. My PVCs have all but disappeared. I had a few yesterday but that may be due to the fact that I just started my menstrual cycle yesterday. Today I am back to 0 PVCs and no tachycardic episodes (I have only had one minor one since starting magnesium taurate and registered it on the monitor but my HR was back to normal within 2 - 3 minutes and the HR was nowhere near as fast as it has gone in the past).

So, coincidence or is this mineral supplement working? I want to think it's working. I feel like a black cloud has been lifted off my shoulders.

I didn't even know that I was magnesium deficient until I stumbled upon an article that explained magnesium's role in NMDA receptor balance in the brain. Having long suspected that I possessed an imbalance I sought various techniques to balance. You can do some research on NMDA, but they are tied to alcoholism and other destructive behaviors.

Since beginning to take Magnesium Taurate I've noticed a marked increase in energy and general well being. My body just feels better and I find it much easier to focus on tasks. I believe that magnesium imbalance is a national health crisis that needs to be addressed. Living in Europe where my primary source of water was mineral water containing magnesium, I was surprised at my body's rapid muscle gain and the level of growth that I felt. Returning to America I once again found myself plagued by similar fatigue symptoms.

In conclusion, give this product a try. I've found it to be very helpful.

Magnesium oxide is cheap, yeah, but you're throwing your money away, since less than 2-3% is actually absorbed. That means out of the 300 or so mg in your multivitamin/magnesium pills, you're actually getting about 10 mgs out of the 350 mgs daily recommended.

I have ADHD (inattentive, not hyperactive) and my medication causes me to clench my jaw and grind my teeth, especially at night and when I'm stressed. Recently, this lead to TMJ symptoms, so I knew I had to do something fast.

After doing some research, many others report side effect symptoms from Adderall as well as end of the day mini-withdrawal to be eased by good forms of chelated magnesium. I've tried mag oxide (zero affects), and mag citrate (diarrhea), but neither really did anything.

After a week of taking two of these every evening, I'm seeing huge changes. The canker sores I use to get, the grinding and clenching, the moodiness, the dry mouth, have all decreased quite noticeably, and my backspasms as well have gone away.

Additionally, I need way less of my medication to function, which is awesome as I hate the initial "speedy drug" feeling when I take higher doses. Now I can take half the amount, but more often, so I never feel "high", rather it's a constant levelheaded focus.

Thank you CR for making this amazing, if somewhat expensive product.

Have had PACs and occasional (lone) atrial fibrillation for four years. Hospitalized 2 or 3 times for afib. Until I started taking this product, I had hundreds (perhaps 1000s) of PACs per day. Cardiologist stated that these were "benign" and recommended anti-anxiety meds. I tried these because I had read about the effectiveness of magnesium for these symptoms. I tried other (cheaper) forms of magnesium with inconclusive results. I started taking 3 pills per day. PAC episodes greatly lessened after a few days. I am now almost symptom free. I take one in the morning and two before sleeping (to stop the "poundies"). I feel like my life has been given back to me. I can exercise more vigorously, and even enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning with no ill effects. I had forgotten what life was like before the palpitations started. No side effects so far after three weeks. I hope they never stop making this stuff.
